'07 Jaguar S-Type

For the 2007 Jaguar S-Type there are a number of standard features that were once a part of the different option packages. New standard features such as heated front seats, electrically adjustable pedals, electrochromic mirrors, and a CD changer can be found on the V6 model. The other models will also include a navigation system as standard.

With both front and side airbags as standard the 2007 Jaguar S-Type is one of the safest vehicles on the road. This is backed up by the National Highway Traffic safety Administration giving the vehicle its top ratings for its rollover test. There was also perfect rating in the side crash test for the rear side and a near perfect rating for the front side test.

The S-Types 3.0 gives a reasonable gas mileage offering 19 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, the 4.2 gets from 17 mpg city and up to 26 mpg highway.

'05 Jaguar S-Type

The 2005 Jaguar S-Type can be had in three engine types. There is a 3.0 litre V6 that puts out 235 horsepower, a 4.2 litre V8 with 294 horsepower, and a high-performance supercharged V8 R giving 390 horsepower. Every one of these models comes with a six speed automatic transmission.

Antilock four-wheel disc brakes, traction control, front side and curtain side airbags are all standard on the 2005 Jaguar S-Type. The 3.0 model has 17 inch wheels and if you are after larger wheel you can take the optional Sport Package that is available for the V8s and get some 18 inch wheels.

Another option package that is available is the VDP Edition Package which is for the 4.2 V8 where leather seats and wood trims are some of the features included. The V8 comes standard with power-adjustable pedals which is an option on the V6. A navigation system can also be included.

2007 Jaguar S-Type


The 2007 Jaguar S-Type changed little from previous year models but still retains all of the great features and designs that have made it one of the most popular and demanding mid-size luxury/executive vehicles on the market today.

The engine sizes offered on the 2007 Jaguar S-Type start with the baseline 3.0L V-6 producing 240HP and 220FTLB of torque, heading to the mid-level engine choice of a 4.2L V-8 Naturally Aspirated boasting 300HP and over 300FTLB of torque while offering the performance-oriented 4.2L V-8 Supercharged pushing 390HJP and almost 400FTLB of torque.

Transmission options range from either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission on a standard rear-wheel-drive platform sitting on 114.5” wheel-base tires.

2005 Jaguar S-Type

The 2005 Jaguar S-Type is a mid-size luxury/executive vehicle and features spacious and comforting luxury features along with amazing performance and power standards found normally on high-end sports cars.

The engine choices range from the baseline 3.0L V-6 producing 240HP and 220FTLB of torque, moving to the mid-range 4.2L V-8 engine that produces 300HP and over 300FTLB of torque and finally to the high-performance-tuned 4.2L V-8 Supercharged engine pushing a massive 390HP and 399FTLB of torque.

The powertrain offered on the 2005 Jaguar S-Type is a rear-wheel drive platform with either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission choice sitting the Jaguar S-Type on 114.5” wheel-base tires for added traction and control.
